This beautiful vintage Turkish Konya Derbent rug is a handwoven wool piece with a striking long format and a bold Anatolian character. Woven approximately 90 years ago in the Derbent region of Konya, this rug features a rich crimson-red field framed by strong geometric borders and two dramatic central medallions in dark navy, black, mustard, and soft pastel accents.
Its elongated shape makes it ideal for a hallway, entryway, kitchen, bedside, corridor, or narrow living area. The composition is both bold and balanced, with traditional village motifs and a timeless tribal presence that works beautifully in bohemian, rustic, eclectic, and collected interiors.
The rug shows lovely abrash, the natural variation of tone that appears in hand-dyed wool, adding depth, authenticity, and one-of-a-kind charm. As a genuine vintage handmade rug, it may also show light age-related wear, slight irregularities, and character marks consistent with its age and history.
