Vintage Caucasian Derbent Rug, 3.2x5.9 ft, 97x180 cm, Handwoven Wool Rug

This vintage Caucasian Derbent rug is a handwoven wool piece, approximately 60–70 years old. Rugs from the Derbent tradition are known for their lively geometric language, rich colors, and strong tribal character, reflecting the weaving heritage of the Caucasus region.

The rug features a vibrant and expressive field with a central medallion-like motif surrounded by stylized floral and geometric forms. Its composition is framed by multiple decorative borders that give the piece a balanced and striking presence. The color palette includes deep red, burgundy, navy blue, black, ivory, olive green, brown, and touches of yellow and blue, creating a warm and bold decorative effect.

Measuring 97x180 cm / 3.2x5.9 ft, this rug is a versatile size for an entryway, bedside, hallway, reading corner, office, or layered living space. Its tribal character and compact proportions make it both highly decorative and collectible.

As a vintage handmade rug, it may show natural signs of age such as light wear, slight fading, irregularities, and minor variations in color and weave. These are part of its authenticity and charm. The rug will be carefully washed and ironed before shipping.
