Vintage Konya Mountain Sleeping Carpet, 4.4x5.7 ft, 135x175 cm, 80 Years Old Handwoven Wool Rug

This vintage Konya mountain-area sleeping carpet / yatak halısı is a distinctive handwoven wool piece, approximately 80 years old, with a rich Anatolian tribal character. The rug features a dark black central field filled with colorful geometric medallions, framed by bold floral and symbolic borders in warm red, salmon pink, yellow, blue, ivory, green, and earthy tones.

Traditionally known as a yatak halısı, this type of textile was used as a bedding or sleeping carpet in Anatolian village and nomadic life. Its thicker wool texture, lively folk motifs, and expressive handmade details give it both decorative and collectible value.

Measuring 135x175 cm / 4.4x5.7 ft, this piece works beautifully as a small area rug, bedroom rug, reading corner rug, wall hanging, textile art, or collector’s piece. Its colorful pattern and aged surface make it especially suitable for bohemian, rustic, eclectic, lodge-style, or traditional interiors.

As a vintage handmade rug, it may show natural signs of age such as gentle wear, fading, pile variation, slight irregularities, fringe wear, and handmade imperfections. These details are part of its authenticity and make the piece one of a kind.
